Welcoming the Build-Up to TISI Sangam Fiji’s Centennial – From the Roots of Rakiraki

It is with immense pride and heartfelt joy that we welcome you all to the official build-up toward the TISI Sangam Fiji Centennial Celebrations – beginning in Rakiraki, the sacred birthplace of this iconic movement.
During the TISI Sangam National Convention this Easter, we launched the journey toward 100 years of Sangam legacy, and now, as we gather in Rakiraki, we honour the spirit that sparked a century of service, unity, and progress. These district-level events mark the start of a year-long celebration, leading us to the grand centennial milestone in Easter 2026.
A Sacred Start – Rakiraki’s Tribute:
Our celebrations commence with a Hawan Pooja, seeking divine blessings to guide this journey with purity, unity, and collective purpose. It is a spiritual calling to reflect on our roots and recommit ourselves to the vision that built Sangam Fiji.
Honouring a Legacy – Past, Present & Living Legends:
As we celebrate this journey, we pay tribute to the visionaries of yesterday, the leaders of today, and the living legends among us who shaped Sangam into a household name for education, culture, and compassion.
We also extend our heartfelt appreciation to the families of our late and past-serving members, whose sacrifices and silent support laid the foundation for Sangam’s enduring legacy. Their memory lives on through each child educated, each temple built, and each community strengthened.
A Cultural Call to the South Indian Community:
To our Tamil, Telugu, and Malayalam-speaking brothers and sisters across Fiji – we urge you to stand united in this historic moment. Your heritage is a flame that has kept Sangam alive through generations.
“இது நம்ம பற்று – நம்ம பாரம்பரியம்” – This is our bond, our tradition.
“ఇది మన ఘనత – మన బాధ్యత” – This is our pride and our responsibility.
“ഇത് നമ്മുടെ പാരമ്പര്യത്തിന്റെ ആഘോഷം” – This is a celebration of our legacy.
Let this celebration ignite pride in our youth, calling them to embrace their identity and take forward the values of service, sacrifice, and solidarity.
The Journey Continues Across Fiji:
Rakiraki is just the first step. These celebrations will cascade through every TISI Sangam District, uniting our Sangam family in a nationwide journey of remembrance and renewal – all leading to our Centennial Celebration during Easter 2026.
