As per in Saiva Agama(Lord Shivas Tradition). Once in every 12 years we have to do MahaKumba Abhishekam Pooja for the temple.

In June – July 2018 the temple will be celebrating this auspicious Pooja.  In preparation for the MahaKumba Abhishekam renovations/maintenance works are underway as follows :

 Phase 1:  Ganesh Temple

Phase II: Lord Shiva and Meenaskhi Temple

Phase III: Main Murugun Temple.
